Virginia Pediatric Eye Center is a thriving private practice in Virginia Beach, Virginia, that has been serving children in Hampton Roads for more than 35 years. Our goal is to provide all our patients with excellent care in a warm, friendly environment.
We are a pediatric ophthalmology / optometry practice, and we cover all aspects of pediatric eye care and adult strabismus. Our group is highly respected, well- established, and has high volume. We see a lot of interesting cases and pathology along with children’s common eye issues. We are active in several funded research studies, and we have many years of involvement with PEDIG, an NIH-funded research center searching for betterways to treat pediatric eye diseases.
Our doctors enjoy a friendly, collaborative work environment, and our main office is located in the Virginia Beach Town Center area with upscale restaurants, shopping, theater, and other amenities within a one-mile radius. We have an on-site optical shop staffed by an experienced pediatric team.
What we offer:
1. A great work environment and an opportunity to make a difference in kids’ lives. Correcting pediatric vision problems is vitally important work. We work with pediatricians to detect and correct amblyopia, strabismus, and other amblyogenic vision problems so that children can maximize their visual development potential. Patients and their families are very grateful, and working at our practice is personally rewarding. We work in a beautiful modern office located in the flourishing Town Center area. Our techs and administrative support staff love children and are here to assist you in any way possible. We use an electronic medical record system designed specifically for pediatric eye care, and we have worked to streamline documentation efforts as much as possible.
2. Excellent compensation and benefits. We are offering above average compensation, the amount dependent on experience and qualifications. All our doctors have opportunities to increase income beyond their base pay through productivity bonuses and research bonuses. Benefits we provide include insurance, 401(k), and paid time off.
