*Job Summary*
We are seeking a skilled Optometrist to join our team and provide exceptional eye care services to our patients. The ideal candidate will be a licensed optometrist in the State of Texas and have a strong background in routine and medical optometry and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.
*Duties*
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to assess vision and eye health
- Diagnose and treat visual problems, diseases, and conditions
- Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other visual aids as needed
- Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgeries
- Educate patients on proper eye care techniques and preventive measures
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure patient confidentiality
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care effectively
*Requirements*
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited school of optometry
- Valid state optometry license
- Strong knowledge of optical principles, practices, and procedures
- Familiarity with medical coding and terminology related to optometry
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on patient-centered care
- Ability to work with patients of all ages, including pediatrics
- Proficiency in conducting eye exams, assessing visual acuity, and diagnosing eye conditions
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment during procedures
- Understanding of ocular anatomy and physiology for accurate diagnosis and treatment
- Experience or interest in succession planning for long-term practice growth
