Base pay rate of $110,000 or 12% of the receipts attributed to the associate Optometrist, whichever is higher (Minimum daily payment is guaranteed), 3 weeks of paid vacation, Up to $2500 monthly ($30,000 per year) to pay toward student loans, 3% IRA match, Louisiana license renewal paid yearly, Malpractice insurance paid yearly, Paid continuing education yearly (amount up to OAL convention cost)

Family Eye Care is seeking an associate Optometrist to join our growing practice. This is a well-established, busy, full scope, practice in the Lafayette area, right off interstate I-49 (about a 10-minute drive to downtown Lafayette). Our practice is a member of the Vision Source network, which provides many unique educational opportunities, as well as the opportunity to confer with colleagues across the nation.
It is equipped with all the tools needed: two Marco Olleyes VF headset units (these also perform D-15 color testing, pupil reactivity, versions, confrontational VF's and visual acuities), Marco TRS refracting systems (there is also a traditional phoropter available), Optovue Angiovue OCT/OCTA system (also performs anterior segment OCT), AdaptDx dark adaptation testing, Ellman Pelleve' radiofrequency/cautery surgical unit, Lightmed SLT/Yag laser, LKC ERG, and an Optos California widefield fundus photography (with Auto-fluorescence feature).
This practice is looking to expand our specialty services into Dry Eye Care and aesthetics and adding a second location in the Carencro area.
Family Eye Care has a well-trained and friendly staff, working on the Crystal PM EMR system.
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive eye exams to identify and manage eye diseases and conditions.
Work with patients, and their families, to develop treatment plans and provide education on eye health and preventative care.
Dedication to furthering education and learning new clinical skills.
Collaborate with the physician and other outside healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective patient care
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Requirements:
Doctor of Optometry degree from an accredited program
Current Louisiana state license to practice optometry
