Our negotiable compensation package can be tailored to your needs, depending on fulltime or parttime status. We are willing to consider per-diem, per exam, production-based, or a combination of those methods. Dr. Tom Nye and Vision Source Hamilton are seeking a fulltime or parttime associate optometrist to join our Hamilton, Ohio, locally-owned independent private optometric practice. As an optometrist at Vision Source Hamilton, you will have the opportunity to practice full scope primary eyecare in a team-oriented atmosphere. We currently have a full schedule and a growing patient base, but we would welcome any specific skills or areas of interest (low vision, vision therapy, myopia management) that you might bring to further enhance our patient care opportunities.
Vision Source Hamilton was first founded in 1920, and is the oldest continuous eyecare practice in Butler County. Hamilton, a city of about 65,000 people, is the county seat of Butler County (approximately 365,000 population), and is about 25 miles north of downtown Cincinnati. Vision Source Hamilton is located near downtown in a free-standing 4200 square foot building with adjacent off-street parking. Our practice was recently named "Best of Butler County" by the Hamilton Journal-News and Cox Media.
The unique office setting includes 4 full exam lanes, 3 pre-test rooms, dedicated contact lens room, spacious frame room, Humphrey visual field analyzer, Cirrus-OCT, Optomap California, Marco OPD refracting system, MacuLogix AdaptDX, Oculus keratograph, Neurolens technology, RetEval technology, and anterior segment cameras. There are currently 6 full-time and 2 part-time staff members, and patients are seen 6 days per week.
Dr. Nye, the owner of Vision Source Hamilton, is a 1987 graduate of The OSU College of Optometry. He is a past member of the Ohio Optometric Association Executive Board, and has been involved in organized optometry since graduation. He is the Administrator for TriState Vision Source, and is past president of the Ohio Vision Professionals Board. He is former mayor of Hamilton, and has been active in various community organizations throughout his career.
