Learn to adjust the Light Adjustable Lens from RxSight and provide patients with unbelievable result
Location: Hauppauge, New York
Type: Part Time
Work as an independent contractor on either an hourly basis or a per treatment fee
Internal Number: 001
Work 1-2 days/week adjusting the Light Adjustable Lens. First, determine patient expectations, do a meticulous refraction, dilate patient’s pupils and then use the Light Delivery Device (LDD) which uses UV light to adjust the power of the previously implanted IOL.
You will learn from trainers from RxSight and Richard G. Davis, MD, who currently does all the light adjustments himself.
Excellent refraction skills as well as excellent patient rapport. Need to determine where the patient starts and then discuss where they want to be. Must be comfortable at LDD which is like working at a slit lamp. You have to hold a treating contact lens on the patient’s eye through which you will deliver the adjustment, which takes anywhere from 30 to 125 seconds per eye.
We have an open access center for adjusting the LAL (Light Adjustable Lens) and are looking for someone interested in a part time position adjusting the LAL. No experience needed, RxSight and I will do the training.
