This vital role involves diagnosing and treating a range of eye conditions, conducting comprehensive eye exams, and contributing to our patients' overall health and well-being. Conduct Comprehensive Eye Exams: Detailed assessments of vision and eye health.
Prescription Management: Prescribe and fit lenses based on patient needs.
Diagnosis and Treatment: Manage eye conditions, provide care or referrals.
Patient Education: Communicate health information and treatment plans.
Ocular Disease Management: Monitor and treat eye diseases.
Surgical Care: Pre- and post-operative care, as well as procedures allowed to the extent of Alaska’s scope of practice (e.g. YAG procedures)
Record Keeping: Maintain patient records.
Professional Development: Stay updated with industry advancements.
Full-time, Monday to Friday.
Split time between Anchorage and Wasilla locations
Clinical and office environments.
Compensation and Benefits:
Potential Total Compensation (Depending on Experience): $145,000 - $200,000

Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree.
Valid state optometry license.

Alaska Eye Care Centers is a large, private group practice of 7 Optometrists. We have two locations, one in Anchorage, a town of about 320,000 + people and a satellite office located in Wasilla, 45 minutes north of Anchorage, an area with about 110,000 people. We have been in practice at the original site in Anchorage since 1937 and offer many services, have an on-site lab and dispensary with a huge selection of frames and accessories, as well as the latest technology- including a YAG Laser and large inventory in contacts.
