Responsibilities
Comprehensive Eye Examinations: Perform comprehensive eye examinations to assess and diagnose visual conditions, refractive errors, and ocular diseases. Develop personalized treatment plans and prescriptions to enhance patients' visual health and overall well-being.
Contact Lens Fitting and Management: Provide expert guidance in fitting and managing various types of contact lenses, ensuring optimal comfort and visual acuity for patients.
Diagnosis and Management of Ocular Diseases: Detect and manage ocular diseases, such as glaucoma, cataracts, diabetic retinopathy, and macular degeneration. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Patient Education: Educate patients about eye health, preventive measures, and treatment options, empowering them to make informed decisions about their vision care.
State-of-the-Art Technology: Utilize cutting-edge diagnostic and treatment technologies to deliver high-quality eye care services, providing patients with the best possible outcomes.
Clinical Research: Engage in clinical research and participate in ongoing professional development to stay abreast of the latest advancements in optometry, contributing to the advancement of eye care practices.
Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of optometrists, ophthalmologists, and support staff to deliver comprehensive eye care services to patients.
Patient Experience: Maintain a patient-centered approach, ensuring each patient receives exceptional care, compassionate communication, and a positive experience during their visit.
Qualifications
Degree from an accredited optometry school
Pennsylvania state licensure
Specialization or experience in areas such as pediatric optometry, low vision, or specialty contact lenses is a plus.
Excellent clinical and diagnostic skills with a commitment to evidence-based practice.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients and colleagues.
Enthusiasm for continuous learning and professional development in the field of optometry.
