McPherson Family Eye Care - a highly medically oriented, busy private practice - is looking for an amazing full-time associate who is looking to practice full scope optometry in a state-of-the-art and well established, yet still growing private practice. We are a large, single location practice with 6 ODs and over 40 staff members to support you.  Our technicians are highly trained and will post charges and scribe for you.  Our opticians are experts in their field and are highly successful at fitting patients in high end frames and lenses.

You will be a key team member in our tightly knit group of doctors and will play an important role in the continued growth of the practice. We are committed to providing the highest quality care for our patients and we are looking for a doctor that is knowledgeable and compassionate, with excellent communication skills. We have doctors who have special interests in dry eye management, ocular disease, scleral/specialty lenses, ortho-k/myopia control, vision therapy and low vision.  We are happy to support any clinical interests that you may have.   We will also work together to increase your exposure in our community.

We are fully equipped with all the latest technology, which includes the following:

• Zeiss Clarus widefield fundus camera
• Humphrey VF analyzer
• Zeiss Cirrus 6000 OCT
• Lipiview and Lipiflow
• IPL
• Corneal topography
• Several slit-lamp mounted anterior segment cameras
• iCare tonometry  

Our modern and spacious office provides a pleasant working environment.  We are highly respected in our community and have built a great referral network with local urgent care practices, primary care doctors and pediatricians.  We have been awarded the best eye care practice in our area for the past eight years in a row and a glance at our Google and Demand Force reviews shows the love that we get from our patients. Wake Forest is a wonderful and safe place to live and raise a family.  It has small-town charm, but yet has everything that you need.  Wake Forest is only minutes from Raleigh and is a short drive from RTP, Chapel Hill and Durham.  Outings to either the mountains or the beach are easy weekend trips from our area.

Our highly competitive compensation package includes the following:

• An exceptionally competitive base pay with a bonus based on net receipts. Our hard-working doctors all make over 160k, with some making over 200k. You will be busy soon after starting and will quickly reach bonus levels.

• NC licensure fees and NCOS annual dues
• AOA dues
• Fees to maintain DEA number
• Continuing Education allowance for registration and travel fees

We offer a generous amount of time off to achieve a healthy work-life balance.  This includes:

• 7 annually paid holidays, plus we are usually closed Black Friday and Christmas Eve
• 5 annually paid CE days, in addition to 2 weeks of vacation
• If you work a Saturday, you will have a day off during the week.
• Typical work week is 4 or 5 days, 32-40 hrs weekly. Options to work from 3-6 days a week are available.  Options to start work earlier or later in the morning and end earlier or later in the afternoon are also available.

The burden of call is minimized as it is shared amongst all of the doctors.  Must be available for occasional work (usually twice a month) from 9:00-2:00 on Saturdays.
