Exciting opportunity for a dedicated and driven Optometric Associate with strong diagnostic skills and a passion for delivering a great patient experience, to join a thriving multi-location cataract and refractive ophthalmology practice. Our Optometrists work in partnership with our team of Ophthalmologists as comprehensive primary eye care specialists, performing full-scope optometry.
Our main location is in Quincy with 10-20 minute interoffice travel to satellite offices in Norwell, Norwood and Weymouth; Saturday rotation required. Competitive pay based on experience. This role involves a mix of routine eye care and ocular disease. You will be part of a team of innovative and accomplished surgeons, doctors, Licensed Opticians and compassionate and professional clinical care staff.
Our practice is in-network with all major medical insurances and in-network with most major vision plans so our doctors are credentialed to see just about any patient out there. Our practice includes an optical and our offices are equipped with the latest in technology.
Your Responsibilities at a Glance
Conduct eye exams and perform vision tests
Diagnose, treat and manage diseases and disorders of the eye
Prescribe eyeglass and contact lens prescriptions
Transition the patient with a successful hand-off to the opticians in order to successfully meet their eyewear needs
Provide cataract and refractive post-operative examinations
Appropriately refer to our team of ophthalmologists when patients require advanced medical or surgical treatment

Must be a licensed Optometrist for the practice of optometry in the State of Massachusetts, licensed through the Massachusetts Optometry Board.
Minimum of 1 year work experience as an Optometrist preferred but not required
Must have an in-depth understanding of eye conditions and vision defects
Must have a strong attention to detail, be an active listener, and excellent communication skills
