Gundersen Health System is recruiting for a full-time, therapeutically certified optometrist at the Gundersen Eye Clinic in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin. This is a general optometry practice with an emphasis on primary care, including ocular disease diagnosis, treatment, and management, geriatrics, contact lenses, and co-management of cataract and refractive surgery patients. Technology includes EPIC electronic medical records, new examination lanes, imaging data software, autorefractor, automated visual field analyzer, digital photography, OCT, and pachymetry. Support staff members include patient liaisons, certified ophthalmic technicians, ophthalmic assistants, coding specialists, and ABO certified opticians.
Residency training and/or experience is preferred. The ideal candidate must be flexible and may be asked to cover other Gundersen Health regional eye clinics as needed. Board certification is required within 3 years of hire.
We are an employed model practice and offer salary + benefits that are competitive in the upper Midwest market. Loan forgiveness is possible with paid relocation.
The Eye Department at Gundersen consists of board-certified ophthalmologists and optometrists. Eye Clinics are located in 13 locations within our WI, MN, and IA service area. Subspecialty services include retina, glaucoma, pediatrics, oculoplastics, and refractive surgery.
