Optometrist

Come join a dynamic, comprehensive ophthalmology group located in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. The ideal candidate will join 3 ophthalmologist and 1 OD, sharing busy offices in Eugene, Oregon.  This is a robust practice, serving patients with friendly and highly regarded ophthalmic surgeons. The candidate must be state-licensed and possess in-depth knowledge of eye-related disorders, conditions, and treatments. The ideal candidate will be customer service oriented with excellent analytical and communication skills. Optical management skills are highly desired. We are currently in the midst of refurbishing our OD and optical office and are looking for a candidate that will advance our optometric footprint. The candidate’s frontline industry experience and advanced optometric knowledge will be highly valued.

• Perform thorough comprehensive eye exams.
• Identify the patient’s visual acuity and field of vision
• Diagnose vision issues and problems.
• Prescribe corrective lenses and medications, including contact lens fitting
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records for all patients.
• Assist with maintaining inventory of both frames and contacts
• Identify and assess eye defects and diseases such as diabetes and cataracts.

Requirements:

• Doctor of optometry (O.D.) degree.
• Must possess a state-issued license for O.D. and optometry.
• Outstanding communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
• In-depth knowledge of eye-related disorders and conditions.
• Experience fitting contacts
