Northern Navajo Medical Center is located in the Four Corners Region of the United States and is an Indian Health Service, federally owned hospital. We are looking for a residency trained or experienced optometrist to join us in an ocular disease based practice, rural setting. We provide eye care to Native American patients of all ages, from infancy to the elderly. The practice is busy, the cases are challenging and it is promised to be the most rewarding job you'll ever have. Yo will practice full scope optometry in a supportive environment and become a member of the medical dental staff. Eye care will be provided in an outpatient hospital based clinic and urgent eye care setting. The optometrist will work as the co-coordinator for the optometry residency program and serve as a mentor.
The position is a full-time federal position with an option for a compressed work schedule. The staff reside in Farmington, NM or in Cortez, CO.
Doctor of Optometry
Prefer a residency trained OD or an OD with experience in an ocular disease practice setting.
