The SUNY College of Optometry is currently recruiting for a full-time clinical faculty position in the Primary Care Service of the University Eye Center. The position will consist of both clinical and academic responsibilities. Clinical faculty responsibilities primarily include the supervision of students and occasional direct care assignments, and successful candidates are expected to contribute to the college’s mission in the areas of providing excellent patient care, teaching, and scholarly activity. Academic responsibilities include clinical and didactic teaching in the professional program, and an expectation of scholarship and participation in clinical research. The SUNY College of Optometry, together with the University Eye Center, seeks to develop a vibrant intellectual community of clinicians, teachers and researchers who work together on educational and clinical research collaborations. The successful candidate will have a record of educational and scholarly activity appropriate for their level of experience.
